Compliance engineering
KYC & AML compliance software development
Finashtech builds KYC, KYB, KYT and AML screening software for fintech products — complete verification of every customer and business you onboard, screening against sanctions, PEP and adverse-media lists, and real-time monitoring of the transactions that follow.
We deliver it as one end-to-end fintech compliance platform: onboarding → verification → screening → monitoring → payments. Each stage feeds the next, every decision is explained and logged, and your compliance team works from a single case view instead of five vendor dashboards.
How it fits together
One verification pipeline, from applicant to approval
An applicant moves through identity, business, transaction and AML checks. Each stage adds evidence and a score, the risk engine decides the route, and every step lands in the audit trail.
Illustration: an applicant passes KYC, KYB, KYT and AML checks; each stage shows its result, a risk meter settles on low risk and every step is written to an audit trail.
KYC: verify every customer, in minutes
Know Your Customer checks that are strict enough for your compliance team and smooth enough that genuine customers finish onboarding.
ID document capture & OCR
Guided capture of passports, national ID cards and driving licences on web and mobile, with OCR that extracts fields, checks formats and flags tampering or expired documents.
Face match & liveness
Selfie-to-document face matching and passive or active liveness detection, so the person onboarding is real, present and the same person as on the ID.
Address & proof of address
Address capture with autocomplete, proof-of-address document checks and database verification where it is available in your market.
Video KYC when needed
Escalate to a recorded, agent-assisted video verification call for higher-risk applicants — built on the same video stack we use for our own products.
KYB: know the business behind the account
Business onboarding needs more than a registration number. We automate the checks analysts used to do by hand.
Company registry checks
Look up registration, status, incorporation date and registered address from company registries and business-data providers, and compare them with what the applicant submitted.
UBO & director verification
Map the ownership structure, identify ultimate beneficial owners and directors, and run each of them through KYC and AML screening automatically.
Document collection
Secure upload and review of incorporation documents, licences, board resolutions and bank statements, with request-more-information loops built in.
KYT: real-time transaction monitoring
Know Your Transaction monitoring watches money as it moves, not weeks later in a report.
Rules engine
Configurable rules for velocity, thresholds, structuring, unusual counterparties and geography — editable by your compliance team without a code release.
Risk scoring
Each transaction and customer gets a risk score combining rules, profile data and behaviour, so analysts see the riskiest activity first.
Alerts & holds
Real-time alerts, automatic holds on high-risk payments and clear reasons for every flag, routed straight into case management.
AML screening: sanctions, PEP and adverse media
An AML screening solution that checks people and businesses at onboarding — and keeps checking afterwards.
Sanctions screening
Screening against sanctions and watch lists from specialist data providers, with fuzzy name matching, transliteration and tunable match thresholds to cut false positives.
PEP screening
Politically exposed persons, their relatives and close associates identified at onboarding, with enhanced due diligence triggered automatically.
Adverse media
Negative news screening that surfaces relevant articles for analysts to review, instead of burying them in noise.
Ongoing monitoring
Customers are re-screened whenever lists change or on a schedule you set, and new hits create alerts — not just at day one.
Case management, audit trails and reporting
Compliance work happens in cases. We give analysts one place to decide, and give auditors one place to check.
Case management
Alerts from KYC, KYB, KYT and AML land in one queue with evidence attached, assignment, comments, escalation and maker-checker approvals.
Tamper-evident audit trails
Every check, score, decision and override is logged with who, what and when — so any outcome can be explained and replayed.
Risk-based onboarding flows
Low-risk applicants pass straight through, medium-risk ones get extra checks and high-risk ones go to a human — configured per product and market.
Regulatory reporting workflows
Suspicious activity investigations, report preparation, approvals and record keeping in one guided workflow, with exports in the formats your team needs.
Data security and privacy by design
Identity data is the most sensitive data a fintech holds. We treat it that way.
Encryption & key management
Encryption in transit and at rest, field-level encryption for identity numbers and documents, and keys held in a managed key service.
Least-privilege access
Role-based access, masked fields, step-up authentication for sensitive views and a full access log of who looked at which record.
Retention & data minimisation
Only the data each check needs is collected and shared with providers, and retention rules delete or archive it on schedule.
An end-to-end fintech product, not a bolt-on
Compliance is strongest when it is part of the product. Because we also build the payment, wallet and lending side, verification, screening and monitoring connect directly to accounts, limits and payouts — a verified customer can transact immediately, and a risky one is stopped before money moves.
Proof, not promises
Vendor-neutral by design
We integrate the specialist identity, document, sanctions and data providers that fit your markets and budget — and keep them behind clean adapters, so you can add a second provider or switch later without rebuilding your onboarding. Your compliance and legal advisers stay in the loop for regulatory sign-off.

Design the flows
Risk-based onboarding journeys, screening rules, case workflows and data retention — agreed on paper and in clickable prototypes first.
Build & integrate
We build the platform in sprints, integrate the verification and data providers, and test with realistic edge cases and false-positive scenarios.
Launch & tune
We go live, monitor pass rates, alert volumes and false positives, and tune rules and thresholds with your analysts.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between KYC, KYB and KYT?
KYC (Know Your Customer) verifies individual customers — their identity, face and address. KYB (Know Your Business) verifies companies, their registration, directors and ultimate beneficial owners. KYT (Know Your Transaction) monitors transactions in real time for suspicious patterns. AML screening runs alongside all three, checking people and businesses against sanctions, PEP and adverse-media data.
Can you build a complete KYC and AML platform, or only integrate one check?
Both. We can add a single check — for example ID verification — to your existing onboarding, or build an end-to-end compliance platform covering onboarding, KYC, KYB, KYT, AML screening, case management and reporting workflows.
Do you use third-party KYC and AML providers?
Yes. Document verification, liveness and sanctions data come from specialist providers; we integrate the ones that fit your markets and budget behind adapters, and build the orchestration, risk logic, case management and audit trail around them.
How do you reduce false positives in AML screening?
With good data hygiene, fuzzy matching tuned per list, secondary identifiers such as date of birth and nationality, whitelisting of cleared matches, and regular threshold reviews with your analysts based on real alert outcomes.
Is ongoing monitoring included?
It can be. We build scheduled and event-driven re-screening, so customers are checked again when lists change or their risk profile changes — not only at onboarding.
Will the software make us compliant with our regulator?
Software is one part of compliance. We build the controls, workflows and audit trails your programme needs, and design them with your compliance officer and legal advisers, who remain responsible for regulatory interpretation and sign-off.
How is customer identity data protected?
Encryption in transit and at rest, field-level encryption for identity numbers and documents, role-based access with masked fields, full access logging, and retention rules that remove data you no longer need.
