AWS cloud & DevOps

AWS cloud architecture & DevOps services

Finashtech designs, builds and manages AWS infrastructure for fintech and real-time products — AWS cloud architecture and DevOps services that take you from a first diagram to a monitored, automated production platform.

Whether you are launching on AWS, scaling an existing account or moving off a single server or VPS, we bring the same discipline we apply to money-moving software: secure by default, highly available, observable and costed before it is built.

Reference architecture

A typical highly available AWS architecture

Requests enter through a CDN and web application firewall, are balanced across containers and functions in two Availability Zones, and reach replicated databases and encrypted storage — with monitoring, keys and access control around everything.

Architecture designed around six pillars

We review and design every AWS account against the same well-architected principles — described here in our own words.

  • Security

Least-privilege IAM, private networking, encryption everywhere and audit logging switched on from day one.

  • Reliability

Multi-AZ deployments, health checks, automatic recovery and tested backups, so a failed component is a non-event.

  • Performance efficiency

The right compute for each workload — containers, functions or instances — with caching at the edge and in the data layer.

  • Cost optimisation

Right-sized resources, auto-scaling, savings plans where they fit and cost alerts before the invoice arrives.

  • Operational excellence

Everything as code, small automated releases, runbooks and dashboards your team can actually use.

  • Sustainability

Scaling down when idle, efficient instance families and storage lifecycle rules that avoid paying for waste.

The AWS services we work with

We pick from the AWS catalogue per workload rather than forcing one pattern on every product. These are the building blocks we use most.

  • Compute

Amazon EC2, Amazon ECS and Amazon EKS for containers, and AWS Lambda for event-driven and serverless workloads.

  • Data & storage

Amazon RDS and Amazon Aurora for relational data, Amazon DynamoDB for key-value workloads and Amazon S3 for documents, recordings and backups.

  • Edge & networking

Amazon CloudFront, Amazon API Gateway, Amazon Route 53 and Amazon VPC with public, private and isolated subnets.

  • Security

AWS IAM, AWS KMS, AWS WAF and secrets management, with organisation-wide guardrails across accounts.

  • Messaging

Amazon SQS and Amazon SNS to decouple services, buffer spikes and retry safely.

  • Observability

Amazon CloudWatch metrics, logs, alarms and dashboards, plus tracing where it helps find slow requests.

Infrastructure as code, CI/CD and DevOps

If it is not in code, it does not exist. Every environment is reproducible, reviewed and deployed by a pipeline.

  • Infrastructure as code

Terraform, AWS CloudFormation or AWS CDK — whichever fits your team — with modules, code review and drift detection.

  • CI/CD pipelines

Automated build, test, security scan and deploy for every change, with blue/green or rolling releases and one-click rollback.

  • Environments

Separate development, staging and production accounts with the same code, so what you test is what you ship.

High availability, auto-scaling, backups and DR

Fintech and calling products cannot go down at the busiest hour. We design for failure before it happens.

  • Multi-AZ by default

Load balancers, containers and databases spread across Availability Zones, so losing one zone does not take the product down.

  • Auto-scaling

Capacity follows demand — scaling out for month-end or a marketing push and back in overnight.

  • Backups & disaster recovery

Automated, encrypted backups with point-in-time recovery, cross-region copies where needed, and restore drills on a schedule.

Security and compliance hardening for fintech

We harden AWS accounts for products that handle money and identity data, and give your auditors the evidence they ask for.

  • Encryption

KMS-managed keys for databases, storage and backups, TLS everywhere and field-level encryption for the most sensitive data.

  • Secrets & access

No credentials in code: secrets in a managed store, short-lived roles, MFA and least-privilege policies reviewed regularly.

  • Audit logging

Account-wide API activity logs, configuration history and alerts on risky changes, retained in tamper-resistant storage.

AWS migration from servers and VPS

Many products outgrow a single server. We plan the move, migrate in stages and keep the old system running until the new one has proved itself — with a rollback plan at every step.

  • Assessment & plan

Inventory of applications, data and dependencies, a target architecture and a cost estimate before anything moves.

  • Containerise & migrate

Applications packaged into containers, databases replicated with minimal downtime and DNS cut over gradually.

  • Optimise after the move

Once traffic is on AWS, we right-size, add caching and auto-scaling, and remove what is no longer needed.

24/7 monitoring and cost optimisation

We stay on after launch: monitoring, alerting and incident response around the clock, monthly cost reviews and continuous improvement of the platform.

Proof, not promises

We build on AWS — and run what we build

Finashtech designs, builds and manages infrastructure on AWS for client products. We are an independent software company: we are not an AWS Partner and do not claim AWS certifications — what we offer is hands-on engineering, clear documentation and infrastructure your own team can understand and own.

Process

How we deliver your project

  1. Assess

We review your current setup, workloads, traffic, compliance needs and budget, and agree the goals.

  2. Design

Target architecture, security model, cost estimate and migration plan — documented and reviewed with you.

  3. Build & migrate

Infrastructure as code, pipelines and environments first; then applications and data, moved in stages.

  4. Operate & optimise

24/7 monitoring, incident response, monthly cost and security reviews, and continuous improvement.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What do your AWS cloud architecture services include?

Architecture design and review, account and network setup, infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, containers and serverless, databases and storage, security hardening, migration, backups and disaster recovery, cost optimisation and 24/7 monitoring.

Are you an AWS Partner?

No. Finashtech is an independent software company that designs, builds and manages infrastructure on AWS for its clients. We do not claim AWS partner status or certifications.

Can you migrate our application from a VPS or on-premise server to AWS?

Yes. We assess the current system, design the target architecture, containerise the applications, replicate the data with minimal downtime and cut over gradually, keeping a rollback path until the new platform has proved itself.

How do you keep our AWS bill under control?

Right-sizing, auto-scaling, storage lifecycle rules, savings plans where they make sense, tagging for cost visibility and budget alerts — reviewed with you every month.

Is AWS suitable for fintech and regulated workloads?

AWS provides the building blocks — encryption, key management, network isolation, logging and multi-region infrastructure. We configure them for your requirements and data-residency needs, together with your compliance advisers.

Do you use Terraform or CloudFormation?

Both, as well as AWS CDK. We recommend one based on your team's skills and existing tooling, and keep every environment in code so it can be reviewed and reproduced.

Do you offer ongoing support after the setup?

Yes — 24/7 monitoring and alerting, incident response, patching, backups checks, and monthly cost and security reviews.
